چکیده
This paper deals with the optimal siting and sizing problem of photovoltaic (PV) generators in electrical distribution networks considering daily load generation profiles. It proposes discrete-continuous version vortex search algorithm (DCVSA) to locate size PV sources where discrete part codification defines nodes. Renewable are installed these nodes, continuous section determines their sizes. In addition, through successive approximation power flow method, objective function optimization model is obtained. related minimization energy losses. method allows determining losses each period for renewable input provided by DCVSA (i.e., location sources). Numerical validations IEEE 33- 69-bus systems demonstrate that: (i) proposed finds global solution both test feeders when explored, peak scenario. (ii) case operative scenario, total reduction 23.3643% 24.3863%, respectively; (iii) presents a better numerical performance regarding value compared BONMIN solver GAMS software, which demonstrates effectiveness robustness master-slave algorithm.

Optimal Control Pressure for Leakage Minimization in Water Distribution Systems Using Imperialist Competitive Algorithm
One of the key factors affecting leakage in water distribution systems is network pressure management by putting Pressure Reduce Valves (PRV) in the flow path and optimal regulation of these vales in water networks. This study aimed at investigating optimal pressure management problems so as to minimize leakage in water distribution networks. To do so, an approach was proposed for both optimal ...

Nowadays, presence of photovoltaic systems in distribution network is not without challenge and it may not have economic productivity for the system under the lack of optimal management. Energy storage systems are able to cope with this problem. Therefore, in this paper, a new method is proposed for energy management of the distribution networks in order to show that how presence of the energy ...
متن کاملUsing Dynamic Thermal Rating and Energy Storage Systems Technologies Simultaneously for Optimal Integration and Utilization of Renewable Energy Sources
Nowadays, optimal integration and utilization of renewable energy sources (RES) are of the most challenging issues in power systems. The wind and solar generation units' maximum production may or may not occur at peak consumption times resulting in non-optimal utilization of these resources. As a solution to this problem, energy storage systems (ESS) are embedded in networks. However, the power...

In this paper, a modified version of the lightning search algorithm is proposed in order to find the optimal reconfiguration of the switches and locate and determine the optimal capacity of distributed generation sources in the distribution feeder. The main optimization goals are to reduce ohmic losses and voltage deviations in the standard 33-bus and 94-node IEEE feeders. The simulation result...
